| Who For |
Open to
children aged 7 and above interested in developing their boating skills
& learning to sail. We expect all children to be accompanied by a parent
or guardian, although unfortunately we cannot accommodate adults on the
course - sorry! |
| Outline |
The Kindersail programme will give the children basic boating skills
that will enable them to have fun afloat and an introduction to sailing.
Given fair weather conditions, by the end of the programme the group
should be able sail round a simple triangular course. |

The Juniorsail programme is for the more experienced
(second and third course sailors) able to handle the boats in more
demanding conditions. |

| Course Award |
Children who follow the complete Kindersail course may be awarded the
RYA Youth Stage 1 Award, while the Juniorsail course members may be
awarded either the RYA Youth Stage 2, or 3 or 4 Awards. |

John Sharvill, together with a DSC staff team support by several young
‘hotshots’. |
| Venue | Downs SC & Redoubt Lakes, Hythe Cost £15 per Saturday or £40 for the series |
