Downs SC is a small keen dinghy sailing club on the beach at Deal very near Walmer Lifeboat Station. We have a high quality fleet of dinghies catamarans and safety boats that are used by members and guests together with a comfortable club-house comprising changing rooms, showers, lounge, and facilities for food and drinks.

RYA Onboard Sailors to a special

‘Come and Try Sailing with the Downs SC’ 

on Friday’s 6^th and 13^th June - 1800-2100 hrs 

- Free of charge -

Bring a complete change of clothing and footwear for the sessions afloat – waterproofs and buoyancy aids will be available if that would be helpful to you.

Parents and guardians are also invited to accompany the sailors. They will be able to use the facilities of DSC, help the preparation and movements of boats, talk with DSC members and sample the canteen services!

Qualified and experienced Club volunteers will be on hand to help/guide

sailors and parents throughout the sessions

If you have enjoyed these events and would like to get further involved we will explain normal club action during the two evenings. Please note that we have an organised Cadet (young people up to the age of 18) programme on 4^th, 11^th, and 18^th July for members – it’s a simple competition suitable for most abilities. Why not become a member and join this action?
